Description	:	Funeral Services for Lucille Edith Alder, age 88, of O'Neill, NE will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill with the Rev. John Ryding officiating. Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17, 2013, from 5-8 P.M. with a 7 P.M. Prayer Service at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Memorials may be given to the family for future designation. She passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill. Lucille is survived by 6 Children; Delmer Alder and wife Bonnie, of Deer Island, OR, Dennis Alder and wife Karen of Giltner, NE, Sandra Gaughenbaugh and husband Clark, of O'Neill, NE, Betty Doty of Leoma, TN, Daniel Alder and wife Connie, of O'Neill, NE, and David Alder, of Norfolk, NE, 17 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 18 Step Great Grandchildren, and 7 Step Great Great Grandchildren, 1 Aunt, Maxine Simmons, of Norfolk, NE, and Sister in Law, Ella Boelter, of Inman, NE. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer, son Dean, Parents, 2 Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and her 15 brothers and sisters. Lucille was born on December 25, 1924, in Venus, NE, to Fred and Edith (Butterfield) Boelter. She attended country schools District 62 and District 63 near Walnut and Venus Nebraska in Knox County before graduating from Verdigre High School in 1943. On May 14, 1944, Lucille married William Elmer Alder in Venus, NE. Elmer passed away on April 30, 1989. They lived in Verdigre, Nebraska until 1956 when they moved to Emmett, Nebraska. Lucille lived there until 1996 when she moved to O'Neill. She was a hardworking housewife and an excellent mother to the children. She loved gardening, especially working with her flowers, and also spent many hours doing embroidery work. Lucille remembered everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, any important special occasions or events. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
