Description	:	Wenatchee World - March 13, 2005 Lucille (Felts) Fife Rosekrans passed on to her Heavenly home on March 9, 2005 at Colonial Vista Care Center. She was the firstborn of four girls to Allen & Gladys Felts on February 23, 1918, in Kennewick, Washington and lived most of her life in Wenatchee. Lucille married Douglas Fife on June 25, 1938. Read More	Wenatchee World - March 13, 2005 Lucille (Felts) Fife Rosekrans passed on to her Heavenly home on March 9, 2005 at Colonial Vista Care Center. She was the firstborn of four girls to Allen & Gladys Felts on February 23, 1918, in Kennewick, Washington and lived most of her life in Wenatchee. Lucille married Douglas Fife on June 25, 1938. After a short time living in Pendleton, Oregon, where Doug was a logger, they purchased an orchard from Lucille's parents on Northwest Empire in East Wenatchee where they raised four children. They made their home there until Douglas passed away in 1984, after forty-seven years of marriage. Lucille worked many years at Wenatchee Wenoka Growers as a floor boss. Later she was employed as a deputy auditor for Douglas County and completed her career as a bookkeeper at Highline Nursing Home. In 1986, Lucille married Wayne Rosekrans and they shared nineteen years together spending winters in Mesa, Arizona and summers at their home on Sunset Highway until failing health required them to become residents at Colonial Vista. They became members of a wonderful caring community of residents, caregivers and administrators. Lucille and Doug helped to build the Eastmont Presbyterian Church and were charter members. Lucille also belonged to Calvary Bible Church where her parents had attended for many years. She was a charter member of the East Wenatchee Grange, a fifty year member of the Wenatchee Eagles Auxiliary, a member of the East Wenatchee Garden Club and a member of the Ramblin' Recs Traveling Club. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Rosekrans; her children, Ken (Jeannie) Fife, Jerry (Andrea) Fife, Shirley Bradford and Jim (Laurel) Fife, all of Wenatchee; three step-children, Jan Laine of California, Reita (Paul) Wood of Seattle and Sara (Jim) Christensen of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Edithmae Peabody of Hayden, Idaho and Dorothy (Jack) Holland of Mesa, Arizona. Lucille was preceded in death by her sister & brother-in-law, Helen & Earl Robertson; brother-in-law, Robert Peabody and one grandson, Todd Turner. Arrangements by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee. Lucille Fife Rosekrans, 87, of East Wenatchee, died Thursday, March 9, 2005. She was a 60-year East Wenatchee resident and had worked at Wenoka Fruit as a packing boss for 20 years. She also worked for the Douglas County Auditor's Office for five years, and for two years in the office at Highline Care Center. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Rosekrans of Wenatchee; her children, Shirley Bradford and Jerry Fife, both of East Wenatchee, and Jim Fife and Kenny Fife, both of Wenatchee; three stepchildren, Jan Laine of California, Reita Wood of Seattle, and Sara Christensen of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and two sisters, Edithmae Peabody of Hayden, Idaho, and Dorothy Holland of Mesa, Ariz. A funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
