Description	:	Lucille Hyder Allison, 90, former resident of Union, widow of Dever Allison, died Oct. 23, 2002, at 9:17 a.m. in Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney after an extended illness. Mrs. Allison was born in Gaffney on July 16, 1912, a daughter of the late Albert Harmon and Mattie Baines Harmon. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church of Union. Mrs. Allison was first married to the late Hayes H. Hyder. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Allison was born in Gaffney on July 16, 1912, a daughter of the late Albert Harmon and Mattie Baines Harmon. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church of Union. Mrs. Allison was first married to the late Hayes H. Hyder. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Meta Hyder Harrison of Honea Path; three grandsons, Glenn Hughes, Randy Hughes and Steve Hyder; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Allison was predeceased by a son, Earl H. Hyder. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church by the Rev. David Toney, Rev. Jamie Ellis and Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will be in the Hawkins Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J.B. Lane, Paul Dean Williford, Maurice Hyder, Francis McGowan, Ellis Hyder, Casey Phillips and Robbie Jones. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Friday to await the hour of service. The family is at the home of her grandson, Steve Hyder, 749 Hawkins Road., Union. The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
