Description	:	KIOWA-Lucille Ditgen Stevenson, 92, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Kiowa Hospital District Manor. Graveside service will be Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery. Lucille was born on December 26, 1919 on a farm east of Medicine Lodge to John and Mollie Ditgen. She was the ninth of ten children. She married Andy Stevenson in 1940 and was blessed with one son, James. Read More	KIOWA-Lucille Ditgen Stevenson, 92, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Kiowa Hospital District Manor. Graveside service will be Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery. Lucille was born on December 26, 1919 on a farm east of Medicine Lodge to John and Mollie Ditgen. She was the ninth of ten children. She married Andy Stevenson in 1940 and was blessed with one son, James. They spent most of their married lives in Kiowa and Medicine Lodge, where Andy was sheriff of Barber County. Lucille was a people person who made friends wherever she went, especially in Kiowa where she spent most of her life. She loved playing cards, was a mean Scrabble player and the life of the party. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, Kansas Police Officers Association, KEPERS, and a former member of the United Methodist Church in Kiowa. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; son, James; granddaughter, Jeanette; step-daughter, Wanda and all of her siblings. She is survived by her grandson, Todd and wife, Juli; four great grandchildren Drew, Chance, Magie and Todd Lee; stepson Tony and wife, Ramona; step grandchildren Kim Stevenson, Tonee Chattaway, Steve and Matt Mitchell; fifteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and many, many good friends. Lucille will be sorely missed by all. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kiowa Hospital District Manor or the VFW Auxiliary and given through the funeral home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
