Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Paul Hansen officiating. Read More	Lucille Van Otterloo, age 78, of Hull passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Paul Hansen officiating. Interment followed at the Hope Cemetery in Hull. Lucille Martha was born on March 9, 1930, in rural Hull, the daughter of John and Marie (Van Maanen) Warntjes. She was raised in the rural Hull area, attending country school and graduating from Western Christian High School. After high school, she assisted many area families as a homemaker's helper. On January 25, 1952, she married Melvin John Van Otterloo in Hull. She was a farm wife for many years and, after moving into Hull, served as a custodian at W. C. H. S. for twelve years. Together, they also operated the L. & M. Car Wash in Hull for twelve years, and she was currently employed as a part-time caregiver at Hope Haven's Northside Court in Hull. Mrs. Van Otterloo was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where she participated in Bible study and the Bereans and attended Friendship Bible Coffee. She enjoyed reading and embroidering, stitching dishtowels for all her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of more than 56 years; four children and their spouses, Marlen and Lorna Van Otterloo, of Luverne, Minn.; Janice Van Otterloo and Ray Humphreys, of Raymore, Mo.; Phylliss and Jim Van Tilburg, of Hull; and Larry and Cindy Van Otterloo, of Prinsburg, Minn.; nine grandchildren and four spouses, Marty Van Otterloo, Leslie Van Otterloo, Michael Van Otterloo, Merrick and Tessa Van Otterloo; Jeremy and Lory Van Tilburg, Christy and Scott Saeger, Amy and Adam Yoerger; Jacob Van Otterloo, and Jodi Van Otterloo; four great-grandsons, Cade, Blake, and Colin Van Tilburg; and Ross Saeger; a brother and his wife, John and Eleanor Warntjes, of Hull; and a sister-in-law, Lois Warntjes, of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Warntjes. Sioux County Index 2008-12-17.
