Description	:	Lucille M. Morrow June 26, 1912 ~ July 17, 2013 Lucille Mary (Lohmeier) Morrow was born June 26, 1912, near Sutton, Nebraska. She was the daughter of George Martin Lohmeier and Helena Elizabeth (Burns) Lohmeier. Her parents moved south of Limon on March 9, 1918, when she was 6 years old. Morrow June 26, 1912 ~ July 17, 2013 Lucille Mary (Lohmeier) Morrow was born June 26, 1912, near Sutton, Nebraska. She was the daughter of George Martin Lohmeier and Helena Elizabeth (Burns) Lohmeier. Her parents moved south of Limon on March 9, 1918, when she was 6 years old. She was the oldest of eight children. Lucille worked long hours and walked many miles helping her father, drilling wheat, corn, and cane, behind a team of four horses when she was a teenager. She attended the Lone Star country school and then Limon School. She graduated from Limon High School in 1932, and went to work for the Telephone Company until her wedding. Lucille married Lawrence (Bub) William Morrow on September 9, 1935, in Hugo, CO. They were blessed with five daughters: Velma, Dorothy, Eileen, Ella Mae, and LaWanda. The family lived south of Limon until 1951, when they moved into town. She returned to work for the Telephone Company when her husband became ill, and she remained working there with almost perfect attendance for 25 years, until her retirement in 1973. Lucille worked timelessly for many years at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, cleaning the building; laundering and ironing the altar linen; and making banners for First Communions, Confirmations and other special occasions. Lucille constantly sewed for all her daughters, and quilted, even making clothing out of flour sacks. She sold and gave away numerous baby blankets and quilts, raising money for the Limon Senior Center and the Cancer Society. In her spare time, Lucille loved to dance, walk, play cards and bingo, bowl, play the harmonica, and painted many beautiful pictures. She often participated in her hobbies, while watching or listening to her favorite teams the Broncos and the Rockies. She was always saying something to make people laugh and cheer them up. Her philosophy of life continues to be an inspiration for all who knew her: If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything; Keep a positive outlook on life; Try to be patient; Be ready and willing to help others; Always keep others in your prayers. Her wisdom, loyalty, faith, sense of humor, and deep love of her family will be dearly missed. Lucille was preceded in death by: her parents, George Lohmeier and Helena (Burns) Lohmeier; her husband, Lawrence (Bub) Morrow; her Sons - in-law, Robert Monks and Everett King; her Grandchildren, McKenzie Monks and Keith Beckett; her Brother, Gerald Lohmeier; her Sisters, Mary Lohmeier, Rita (Velman) Seal and Virgene (Michael) Vernie; and her brother-in-law, Rudy Card. Lucille is survived by: her Daughters, Velma Monks, of Colorado Springs, CO, Dorothy King of Matheson, CO, Eileen Nelson of Westminster, CO, Ella Mae Beckett of Limon, CO, and LaWanda (John) Heim of Centennial, CO; her Brother, Jack (Betty) Lohmeier of Limon, CO; her Sisters, Margaret Allen and Helen Card, both of Arvada, CO; her Sister-in-law, Rosie Lohmeier of Limon, CO; 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great- Great Grandchildren. Lucille is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
