Description	:	Lucille Sedell (Harestad) Kock was born at Graettinger, IA on Apr. 12, 1917, the daughter of Lyle H. and Ruth (Brewick) Harestad. As a child she moved from Iowa with her family to Mt. Vernon, SD, then to Blue Earth, MN and then to Canton, SD. She was employed as a nanny, a housekeeper, a waitress and a nurses aid. She was married to Richard Gayken on Nov. 9, 1946. Read More	Lucille Sedell (Harestad) Kock was born at Graettinger, IA on Apr. 12, 1917, the daughter of Lyle H. and Ruth (Brewick) Harestad. As a child she moved from Iowa with her family to Mt. Vernon, SD, then to Blue Earth, MN and then to Canton, SD. She was employed as a nanny, a housekeeper, a waitress and a nurses aid. She was married to Richard Gayken on Nov. 9, 1946. Two children were born to this union. They made their home in Lennox. On Feb. 28, 1964 Lucille was married to Gerriet Kock in Canton. They made their home on a farm east of Lennox where they live most of their married life. In May of 1997 she became a resident of Covington Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sioux Falls. Following a lengthy battle with cancer, Lucille died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, 1998 at Covington Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sioux Falls. She attained the age of 81 years, five months and 24 days. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Gerriet; one son Randall Gayken and his wife Sheree, of Sioux Falls; one daughter; Cheryl Feekes and her friend, Bob Forbes, of Morganton, NC; three grandsons; one great-grandson; two sisters: Janet Tower of Machias, ME and Beryle Cleveland of Prescott, WI.
