Lucille was the fourth child born to George G. and Alvina (Mittelsteadt) Reinhardt, on March 2, 1925, in Krem, ND. She was baptized on April 15, 1925, and confirmed on April 2, 1939, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, north of Hazen, ND. On May 29, 1947, she graduated from Model High, May Hall, Dickinson, ND. She received her teacher’s certification and taught north of Hazen, ND. Lucille married Erhart Arthur Ziemann on May 30, 1948, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, and the couple moved to Bismarck... Lucille was the fourth child born to George G. and Alvina (Mittelsteadt) Reinhardt, on March 2, 1925, in Krem, ND. She was baptized on April 15, 1925, and confirmed on April 2, 1939, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, north of Hazen, ND. On May 29, 1947, she graduated from Model High, May Hall, Dickinson, ND. She received her teacher’s certification and taught north of Hazen, ND. Lucille married Erhart Arthur Ziemann on May 30, 1948, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, and the couple moved to Bismarck where Lucille was a homemaker for several years. Lucille later worked at Jack and Jill Grocery Store, Morrey Alans, and Sears Corporation. She also held the position of a credit application representative, and she could convince anyone to sign up for a credit card! She retired in the 1990s. For many years Lucille did crafts with her friend, Clara Vollmer, but her passion and talent showed especially in her beautiful afghans she made for her family. Cooking and baking were also favorite pastimes; everyone couldn’t wait for her Fleischkuechla, buns, kuchen, and banana bread. No one would leave her house without a loaf or two of her banana bread! If Lucille wasn’t baking, she was on the phone catching up with family and friends. Later in life she was hard of hearing (she didn’t think so!) and the stories she would tell about her calls were very interesting. Lucille was a strong woman of faith. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Her favorite church service was the sunrise service on Easter morning. Anyone who needed prayer could count on Lucille and the 1-800-Prayer Lines that she called every night and she always signed her cards and letters with a Bible verse. She was a member of the German’s from Russia, Moose, VFW, and a past commander of the DAV. She enjoyed breakfast and visiting with many treasured friends at the Bismarck Senior Center. Lucille will be missed by her two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy Highley, and Tiffany and Mikel Schiermeister, all of Bismarck; two sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Marge Ziemann, and Wes Ziemann, all of Bismarck; eight grandchildren, Nicole (David) Hoekstra, Sarah Highley, Audra Highley, Nathan (Kelly) Ziemann, Jonathan (StacyAnn) Ziemann, Kristi (Kris) Lien, Alexis Schiermeister, and Lukas Schiermeister; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jason Hoekstra, Brenden, Abigail, and Noah Ziemann, GracieLee, Mia Kay, and Peyton Ziemann. She will be missed by her two sisters, Doris Willer, MT, and Shirley (Argene) Madden, AZ; one brother, Vernon (Cece), CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erhart; her granddaughter, McKenna; one brother, Arthur Reinhardt; seven sisters, Alma Schramm, Viola Rahn, Hilda Fridrich, Florence Schlecht, Laverne LeVene, Gertrude Schlaht, and Lillian Reinhardt; and her godson, Steve Vollmer.
