Description	:	Mrs. Isaac Carlile Lucinda Ellen Fisher, the daughter of Henry Fisher and Hannah Graybill Fisher, was born at Underwood, Iowa, July 18, 1868. Her death occurred Friday night, Aug. 23, at the Tripp Nursing Home where she had lived for the past eight months. She was 95 years and one month old at the time of her passing. Read More	Mrs. Isaac Carlile Lucinda Ellen Fisher, the daughter of Henry Fisher and Hannah Graybill Fisher, was born at Underwood, Iowa, July 18, 1868. Her death occurred Friday night, Aug. 23, at the Tripp Nursing Home where she had lived for the past eight months. She was 95 years and one month old at the time of her passing. She joined the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was a young woman and remained a devoted member through the years. In 1895 she married Isaac Carlile who also lived near Underwood. They had two children, Mrs. Charles Hyde of Lamoni and Fisher Carlile of Tucson, Ariz. The Carliles moved to Lamoni in 1900 because of their interest in the church. They reared their children in the atmosphere of a Christian home. Daily devotions were unfailingly held and the son and daughter remember that the conversation at the table and elsewhere frequently centered about the church. Ministers of the church often stayed in their home, and they loved to hear of their many experiences. Mrs. Carlile began studying art soon after her marriage. Her husband encouraged her interest and she frequently went to Chicago and other cities for periods of study. She painted constantly in many mediums and continued to teach art classes until a few years ago. She always loved the beautiful and even in the last weeks when she did not speak, her eyes would rest intently on a flower. From the time of her young womanhood, she was a ceaseless worker in the cause of temperance. As long as she was able, she was active in the Lamoni Chapter of the WCTU. She was also a charter member of the Patroness Society of Graceland college. Mrs. Carlile lived in Lamoni until her husband's death in 1957. She then moved to Tucson, Ariz., where she made her home with her son Fisher and his wife for six years. In the summer of 1961, she returned to Lamoni to live with her daughter and husband. Last winter she failed rapidly and it became necessary to give her nursing home care. She had a sweet disposition and was always grateful for everything that was done for her. She was never heard to complain and often talked of the many kindnesses shown her. She became very fond of those who cared for her in the nursing home and seemed to love them as she loved the families of her son and daughter with whom she had lived. She is survived by her daughter and son, her brother, Henry Fisher of Council Bluffs, and her sister, Mrs. Allen Aney of Underwood, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 26, at the RLDS church at 2 p. m. Services were conducted by Wilber E. Prall and Willard C. Moon.
