Fisher was born at Versailles, Woodford county, Kentucky, March 8, 1831, and died May 31, 1908, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. C. Jenkins, in Manhattan, Kansas. She was married September 15, 1852, to Robert Wells Brand, in Andrew county, Missouri. Five children blessed this union, four girls and one boy. Three of the children are yet living, Mrs. Laura Jenkins, of Manhattan; Mrs. Carrie Yates, of Joliet, Illinois, and Robert Brand of this city. Two daughters passed away... Fisher was born at Versailles, Woodford county, Kentucky, March 8, 1831, and died May 31, 1908, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. C. Jenkins, in Manhattan, Kansas. She was married September 15, 1852, to Robert Wells Brand, in Andrew county, Missouri. Five children blessed this union, four girls and one boy. Three of the children are yet living, Mrs. Laura Jenkins, of Manhattan; Mrs. Carrie Yates, of Joliet, Illinois, and Robert Brand of this city. Two daughters passed away in childhood. In 1863 with her husband and family came to Morris county, where she has since resided. She joined the Christian church in childhood and remained a true and earnest christian until death. She leaves besides the three children, one brother and two sisters, W. H. Fisher, Mrs. Harvey J. Munkres and Mrs. V. G. Roberts. Her husband passed away October 6, 1906. The remains were brought here Wednesday morning and the funeral services held at the Christian church at 3 p. m., conducted by Rev. Albert Young. [Obit thanks to Anne Y./September 4, 2018]
