Obituary birth date: 16 Sep 1886 Iowa, Death and Burials birth date: 18 Sep 1886 1900 United States Federal Census Name Lucinda M Brown Birth Date Sep 1885 Obituary Lucinda Maude Brown was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, September 16, 1886, and died at her home in Numa, Iowa, September 5, 1914, aged 28 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was united in marriage to Earl Walker on November 27 (29), 1905. To them were born six children, two boys and four girls, Clyde Oliver, Hazel Esther, Ruby Ellen, Carl, and two infant girls, two days old. The husband and children survive her. She was converted during the meetings held by Rev. Sunday in Centerville, about 12 years ago. In the home she has been a faithful wife and mother and to all a friend and helper. She leaves beside the husband and children to mourn her loss, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Brown of Centerville, and three brothers and five sisters Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Martha Eddy, Oliver Brown, Centerville, Iowa, Mrs. Nora Frazelle, Numa, Iowa, Mrs. Jennie Grimes, J. D. Brown, Webster, Wis., Mrs. Etta Phillips, John Brown, Centerville, Iowa. All the relatives were present at the time of her death except J. D. Brown and Mrs. Jennie Grimes, of Webster, Wis. Funeral services were held form the late home on Sunday afternoon September 6, 1914, at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Clemens, of Seymour. A large company of friends gathered to pay last respects and assure the bereaved family of the sympathy felt by the entire community. All seemed deeply moved at the great loss sustained by the husband and children and other relatives. Burial in Numa cemetery.
