Arnold was born in Ohio, in July, 1853. She passed out of this life at Rochester, Minn., March 1, 1918. Had she lived until July of this year she would have been 65 years of age. She was united in marriage to Jacob Arnold, April 13, 1876. To this union were born three children, two sons and a daughter, G. R. and O. L. Arnold, who reside on the farm south- west of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Laura E. Thorsen, Ottumwa, who with the father, survive her. She is also sur- vived by three brothers and three sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold have resided on the farm southwest of the city until six years ago when they moved to Ot- tumwa which has since been their home. She united with the Methodist Protestant church in 1873, and has been a member of this communion for forty-five years, to which she gave active and faithful service. Since coming to Ottumwa she has identified herself with the women's organiza- tions and other activities of the Wil- lard Street Methodist church.--Con- tributed.
