Description	:	Lucy Janettie Adams, daughter of Jonathon and Sarah Jane Adams, was born near Ladoga, Ia, June 14, 1877. She was married to John Bean, Nov 2, 1895. They made their home in the vicinity of New Market where they reared their family of nine children. Mrs Bean was an exemplary woman and mother. Her principal interest was centered around her children and grandchildren. She was a hard working woman, but never too busy to lend a helping hand to her neighbors and friends. She was a member of the Christian Church and loved to attend as long as... Read More	Lucy Janettie Adams, daughter of Jonathon and Sarah Jane Adams, was born near Ladoga, Ia, June 14, 1877. She was married to John Bean, Nov 2, 1895. They made their home in the vicinity of New Market where they reared their family of nine children. Mrs Bean was an exemplary woman and mother. Her principal interest was centered around her children and grandchildren. She was a hard working woman, but never too busy to lend a helping hand to her neighbors and friends. She was a member of the Christian Church and loved to attend as long as she was physically able. For the past 13 years she had made her home in Clarinda. Since her health had failed, she had been spending the winter months with her daughters in Missouri. It was at the home of her daughter Pansy that she became ill, and died Nov 24, 1958. Her husband, daughters Evelyn, Elizabeth and Marie and son John preceded her in death. Surviving are five children: Clara O'Dell of Lebanon, Mo, Hobert Bean and Pansy Templeton of Liberty, Mo, and Earl and Dan Bean of Beuna, Wash. Mrs Bean was the last of a family of six children. Her whole life had been spent in this vicinity. The services were held at the Walker Funeral Home Nov 29 in charge of the Rev G.R. McGhghy, pastor of the Assembly of God at Clarinda. Casket bearers were Kenneth, Robert and Marvin bean, James Sheesle Fred and James Kreamier. Music wa by Aletha Hutchings and Doris Forbes who sang, "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Death is Only a Dream." Burial was in Old Memory Cemetery near New Market.
