Description	:	KESSINGER, Lucy Mae Smith, 86, of McCoy, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County on January 2, 1914, to the late Lee Andrew and Ellie Mae Fagg Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kemper Kessinger; two sons, Roy Drayton and Dan Raymond Kessinger, Sr.; an infant grandson. Bradley Dyer; and a son-in-law, Randolph Bowles. Smith, of Southhill, Doris Bowles, of Md., Lucy and Lee Martin, of Newport, Almeta and Dave Young, of McCoy, Lois Green, of Md., Martha and Henry Campbell, of Blacksburg, Patricia and Larry McCoy, of McCoy, Sandra Sims, of Texas, Brenda Willis, of Blacksburg, and Carrie and Derek Lee, of Christiansburg; four sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Gail Kessinger, of S.C., Estiol and Brenda Kessinger, of W.Va., Bobby and Kay Kessinger, of Radford, and Larry and Karen Kessinger, of Christiansburg; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lela Flinchum, of McCoy, Jannie Simpkins, of Pulaski, Nora and Pat Flinchum, of Christiansburg, and Thelma and Paul Farmer, of Oroville, Wa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Dolly Smith, of McCoy; and a very special friend, Becky Williams. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 11, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Sunnyside Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Les Shelton and Rev. Layne Board officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. Friends may call the funeral home anytime Thursday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. Flowers will be appreciated or anyone wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the Longshop-McCoy Fire Dept. and First Aid, P.O. Box 489, McCoy, Va. 24111, or to the Carilion Hospice Services of the New River Valley, 111 West Main St., Christiansburg, Va. 24013.
