Bauman was born July 15, 1933, in Brookings, SD the daughter of Frank and Edna (Sutton) Bauman. Luella grew up and attended school in Rutland and was a graduate of the Rutland High School in 1951. After receiving her education, she was employed at South Dakota State University until 1955 in the Extension Service Department. Luella was united in marriage to Howard Schlobohm on November 18, 1955, in Brookings, SD. After their marriage they continued to farm in Brookings and Moody County, SD. Luella was a member of Aurora United Methodist Church, Aurora, SD where she was an active member, especially in UMW and quilting. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Luella is survived by her children, Paul (Zelda) Schlobohm of Aurora, SD, Mary Beth (Dale) Allen of McCall, ID, Tracy Jonas (Mike Lockrem) of Brookings, SD and Kristen Schlobohm of Brookings, SD; her brother, Stanley (Bernice) Bauman of Brookings, SD and her grandchildren, Jerad (Courtney) Schlobohm, Anne Jonas, Nick Jonas, Ryan Schlobohm, Tyler Schlobohm; her great grandchildren, Sutton Schlobohm and Josephine Schlobohm; along with many nieces and nephews. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard; her son, Troy Schlobohm and son-in-law, Paul Jonas. - Rudes Funeral Home
