Description	:	Luella E. Larimer, 93, a resident of Redstone Highlands, formerly of Lincoln Heights, passed away at West Penn Hospital, Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Lincoln Heights, a daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret Henry Harrold. Luella was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Jeannette, Westmoreland Area Nursing Association, Jeannette Hospital Retirees and a charter member of Lincoln Heights Civic Association. Larimer, 93, a resident of Redstone Highlands, formerly of Lincoln Heights, passed away at West Penn Hospital, Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Lincoln Heights, a daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret Henry Harrold. Luella was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Jeannette, Westmoreland Area Nursing Association, Jeannette Hospital Retirees and a charter member of Lincoln Heights Civic Association. Prior to retirement, Luella was head nurse of Jeannette Hospital's Emergency Department for more than 20 years. In addition to her parents, Luella was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Larimer; her son, William F. Larimer; a brother, Donald Harrold; a sister, Ruth Barrow; and a sister-in-law, Helen Harrold. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Hohn and her husband, Robert, of West Hempfield; a sister, Doris Jones, of Decatur, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Mildred Ryan, of Bluffton, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Lindsay Bignell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made in Luella's name to Redstone Highlands Benevolent Care Fund, 6 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601 or Grace United Church of Christ, 119 N. Second St., Jeannette, PA 15644. The family would like to thank Redstone employees for the care they have given Luella over many years. Small acts of kindness mean a lot to residents.
