Miss Luella McLane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry McLane, passed away at the home of her brother, Jack McLane, in North Manchester, Thursday, Feb. 25, 1932, after an illness which had extended over several years. Miss Luella McLane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry McLane, passed away at the home of her brother, Jack McLane, in North Manchester, Thursday, Feb. 25, 1932, after an illness which had extended over several years. Miss McLane was stricken with heart trouble while she was a Sophomore in the local High school, and had to give up her school work. She was bedridden about one week and half. Funeral services were held from the McLane home in North Manchester Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. E. D. Wells, pastor of the Methodist church, had charge of the services. Burial was made in the family lot in Noble cemetery at Strawberry Point. Luella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McLane, was born at Strawberry Point, Iowa, December 28th, 1903. All of her life except one year spent in Missouri, was spent in Manchester. During the last several years Miss McLane had made her home with her brother, Jack, in North Manchester. Miss McLane is survived by the parents, one sister, Mrs. Mae Parsons, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five brothers, William McLane of Winnebago, Minn; Jack, Perry, Donald and Clarence, all of Manchester. She also leaves her grandmother, Mrs. A. Lamphier, of near Edgewood. The sympathy of many friends goes out to the family, who mourn over the death of a devoted daughter and sister.
