Pratt, on June 18, 1912 in Gardner, ND to John and Bertha Pratt of Gardner, ND. She married in Fargo, ND to the late Walter Friend. They farmed in Gardner until they moved to Fargo in 1944. (Pratt) Friend, 97, of West Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully November 23, 2009 at Arthur Good Samaritan Center in Arthur, ND. Born, Luella G. Pratt, on June 18, 1912 in Gardner, ND to John and Bertha Pratt of Gardner, ND. She married in Fargo, ND to the late Walter Friend. They farmed in Gardner until they moved to Fargo in 1944. Walter died in 1954. In 1960, Luella married Ed Fahlsing of Lisbon, ND. They lived in Fargo until his death. In 1975, Luella married Albert Friend, brother to Walter. They lived in Gardner where they operated Friend's Grocery. After retiring, they moved to West Fargo, ND until his passing. Luella lived in West Fargo before moving to Good Samaritan Center in Arthur in 2006. Luella is survived by three children: Lorne Friend of Hugo, MN, Barbara Youngworth of Overland Park, KS and John Friend of Dana Point, Ca. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 Great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Nearby step-children include Fred Fahlsing, Willis Fahlsing, Richard Friend, and Ilene (Friend) McLean. Luella was preceded also in death by daughter-in-law (Joanne Lorne's wife) and her granddaughter, Lisa (John's daughter). In lieu of memorials, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Good Samaritan Center of Arthur, ND 58006. Luella will be missed by all. The Funeral Service for Luella will be Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo, ND at 11:00 am with visitation 1 hour before. There will be a Visitation Friday, December 4th at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND from 5:00-7:30 pm. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo. (Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND)
