Description	:	Luella Marie Becker 91 of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday January 12, 2013 at Carrington Place in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday January 15, 2013 at the Geo M. Wittich Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Jason Crossen will officiate. Casket bearers will be Ron Houseman, Chuck Houseman, Jessie Houseman,and Ben Houseman. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Luella. Luella was born on January 5, 1922 in Muscatine, the daughter of Oscar S. and Margaret E. Leech Dusenberry. Luella was united in marriage to C.William Mercer in June of 1941. C.William Mercer died in 1942 while serving his cuntry during World War II.Luella married Clifford L.Becker on October 7, 1950 in Muscatine. Luella retired from International Harvester in Rock Island after 32 years. She was a member of St Mathias Catholic Church, Women of the Moose and Ladies of the Elks. Earlier in life, Luella enjoyed traveling, golfing, and bowling with her husband Clifford. Later in life, Luella loved to play cards. Luella will be deeply missed by her sister in law, Helen Dusenberry of Muscatine; nephews, Jim Dusenberry of Wisconsin, Ron Dusenberry and wife Pam of Bettendorf, and Richard Dusenberry of Muscatine. one niece, Nancy Tietze of Muscatine, and her cousin Ruth Herlein and husband Leo of Muscatine. Luella was preceded in death by hr parents, both husbands, three sisters, and three brothers.
