She died Apr 30, 1925 (41y 4m 25 dys) at the home of her brother, Warren L. Preston, in Oelwein, IA. Luella married Earl W. Robinson on Sept 10, 1902 in Sumner, IA, where she had lived until her marriage. After marrying they established a new home in Oelwein, IA, remaining there a short time, then moved to Spokane, WA, residing there about 10 years, since which time their home has been Minneapolis, MN. She was the mother of 8 children, two of which preceded her in death. Those remaining are: Leon, Lucille, Norman & Thomas of Minneapolis, and the twins, little Jean & Jack, who have been adopted; Jean by Luella's brother, Warren L. Preston & his wife, and Jack by her sister, Ethel A. (Preston), & her husband, John C. Leaton, of Oelwein, IA. On 10/02/1924, on account of illness, Luella was moved to the home of her brother Warren & his wife, where she was given every care that human agencies could render. She was a patient sufferer during the time of her illness, which extended over a period of two years; her death resulting from the dread disease cancer. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband & 6 children, one sister, Mrs. John C. Leaton Of Oelwein, IA, 3 brothers, Sterling E. of Cedar Rapids, IA, Warren L. of Oelwein, IA, Cressy W. of Wilmington, CA, and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home of her brother, Warren Preston, 220 First Ave, East, Oelwein, IA, on Wednesday, April 22nd at 3 o'clock, by the Reverend A. W. Henke, minister of Grace Methodist Church, Oelwein, IA. Interment was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA.
