Interment will follow in the Pilger Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in Pilger and will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Klima passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Norfolk, NE. Luella Wilhelmina (Wittler) Klima was born in Wayne County on June 7, 1924 to August and Edna (Ulrich) Wittler. She grew up on a farm near Wayne, and as a young woman began working for families near Wayne and Pilger. She was united in marriage to Joseph A. Klima of Pilger on May 18, 1946. She retired from Sherwood Medical after 25 years, and following her retirement provided child care in her home for another ten years. Luella was a woman of great faith and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She loved little children, her family, and visiting with everyone she met. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed quilting and needlework, fishing, and spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a wonderful mother who put her children's needs ahead of her own. She loved her life and lived it to the fullest. Survivors include her children, Susan Klima of Lincoln, NE, Barbara Klima of St. Joseph, MO, Shirley Teeslink of Ames, NE, Jerry Klima and wife Mary Jo of Lincoln, Joseph Klima and wife Patricia of Norfolk, NE, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Fauneil Weible of Winside, NE, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1974, her parents, brothers Charles and August Wittler, Jr., and sister Lucille Baker.
