Description	:	From Story County Watchman January 18, 1895 DIED--At his home in this city, Luke Keefe/Keif, aged 89 years. His daughter Mary, her husband James Dargen and a little granddaughter Ruth lived with him. Tuesday his funeral was held in Nevada under the direction of Father Cooney, of the Catholic society and the remains were laid to rest in their cemetery just west of Nevada. Read More	From Story County Watchman January 18, 1895 DIED--At his home in this city, Luke Keefe/Keif, aged 89 years. His daughter Mary, her husband James Dargen and a little granddaughter Ruth lived with him. Tuesday his funeral was held in Nevada under the direction of Father Cooney, of the Catholic society and the remains were laid to rest in their cemetery just west of Nevada. He was born in County Cork, Ireland, and came to this country and in 1854 came to Story County and settled upon a farm. In March, 1884, he moved to Nevada, where he has since resided. His wife Maggie died several years ago, and he has now gone to rejoin her where partings are no more. He leaves six children: 1. Dennis, at Corning; 2. Frank, at Kirwin, Kansas; 3. Tim., at Iowa Centre; 4. Dan., in Nevada 5. Mrs. Ellen Kinney 6. Mrs. Mary K. (James) Dargin, in Nevada. His life has been a useful and honorable one, and he leaves it with the best wishes and respects of all, many of whom have known him in this county since his settlement here. The family have the consolation and hope that the future will see them all re-united and that not one may be missing.
