Wolthausen The obituary for Lula read: Mrs. Bradbury Taken by Death Mrs. Lula Bradbury, 75, a resident of Toppenish for fifty years, died in Yakima Dec 8 after a long illness. Mrs. Bradbury was born in Joplin, MO Dec 13 1880 and came to Toppenish in 1905 with her husband and four children. Her husband Miles Q Bradbury, died in February 1945. Mrs. Bradbury was very active in the Christian Congregational Church for 47 years, and was a member of the C.C. Church League. She was also active in the American Legion auxiliary. She and her husband were original members of the Mt Adams Golf Club. Funeral services were held Dec 12 at 10 am at Hopkins Mortuary. The Rev J Raymond Fite oficiated and burial followed in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Halen Trimble, Arthur Trimble, Ogden Hammerbacher, Kimball Schmella, Ray Haak and J.E. Richards. Mrs. Bradbury is survived by four children, Mrs. Ellen Wolthausen of Rt.1 Zillah; Mrs. Pearl Ames, Milwaukee, Oregon; Dr. Howard Bradbury, Vancouver, WA, and Dr. Frank Bradbury, Toppenish, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Drake and Mrs. Jessie Nicodemus of Houston, Texas and an aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Middagh of Colorado Springs, CO.
