She was born on May 20, 1921, in Clarence, MO the daughter of James Clarence and Lelah Helen Pitzer Sutton. She was born on May 20, 1921, in Clarence, MO the daughter of James Clarence and Lelah Helen Pitzer Sutton. Lula is also survived by Gerald Blaise of Clarence, MO, Virgil “Sonny” Blaise and wife Nyla of Shelbyville, MO; Marcella Mae Girardin and husband Terry of Cantril, IA; Laveta Comstock of Rutledge, MO; Gary Blaise and wife Connie of Keosauqua, IA; David Blaise and wife Betty of Blakesburg , IA; daughter-in-law Arlene Blaise of Wayland, MO; twenty-three grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blaise was preceded in death by one son Harold Blaise, a twin sister, Ida Tate, two sisters, Margery Edwards and Christina Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Janet Blaise; Lula was a member of the of the United Methodist Church in Clarence, MO. Faye and Ida, twin sisters, were raised by Sam and Mabel Cook from the age of five until they were married. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO with visitation from 10 to 11 am prior to the service. Burial will be in the Shelby Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Neighbors Helping Neighbors or Shelby Memorial Cemetery.
