Fox, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luman Fox of Westgate, was born September 20th, 1871, near Westgate, and passed away from this life, February 22nd, 1924, at Independence, Iowa, at the age of 52 years, 3 months, and 2 days. Fox, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luman Fox of Westgate, was born September 20th, 1871, near Westgate, and passed away from this life, February 22nd, 1924, at Independence, Iowa, at the age of 52 years, 3 months, and 2 days. His boyhood days were spent in this vicinity where he grew to manhood. On February 27th, 1900, he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Green of Westgate. The young couple went to housekeeping in this vicinity where Mr. Fox spent the remander of his life, with the exception of one and one half years spent in California for the benefit of his health. Altho his health has been none the best, his death came as a shock to the people of the community, and his bright and cheery greetings will be missed by all. Those left to mourn his departure are his beloved wife, his foster son, Henry Foust, three brothers, Jesse D, Samuel T, and Roy E, all of Westgate, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Culver, of Parker's Prairie, Minn., besides other relatives and host of friends. The funeral services which were very largely attended were conducted from the home and the Murphy United Brethren Church by the pastor on Tuesday afternoon and internment in the cemetery at the church.
