Description	:	**************************************************** Lumir Divoky, the son of Edward and Mary Esteraich Divoky, was born on a farm near Saline Center on August 16, 1916 and died from cancer at the Crete Hospital on November 20, 1986 at the age of 70. He attended the rural school near his home and graduated from Wilber High School. During World War II he joined the Air Force. On May 8, 1943 he married Bernice Schwarting, and they made their home on the farm near Saline Center. Their children were Ronald and Luann. Lumir was a DeKalb Seed dealer for 30 years. He attended the rural school near his home and graduated from Wilber High School. During World War II he joined the Air Force. On May 8, 1943 he married Bernice Schwarting, and they made their home on the farm near Saline Center. Their children were Ronald and Luann. Lumir was a DeKalb Seed dealer for 30 years. He served on the county redistricting committee and the local school board. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 101 and the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 142 of Wilber. He retired from farming in 1979 and moved into Crete in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Crete; daughter, Luann and son-in-law, Bill Kobza; grandson, Klint Kobza of Lincoln; granddaughters, Roxanne Divoky, Tami Lu Divoky and their parents, Robert and Mary Packer of Wilber; a brother, James of Forsyth, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Tillie) Fritz of Lincoln and Mrs. Clarence (Ella) Moore of Wilber. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Ronald. Funeral services were held Monday, November 24 at Kuncl Funeral Home with Pastor John Slama officiating. Services were conducted by Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 142 of Wilber. Burial was in North Fork Cemetery. Military honors were by American Legion Post No. 101 of Wilber. Pallbearers were Dale Burda, Eddie Kotas, Greg Kotas, Ronald Horak, Willis Kalina, and Ron Dean. Source: November 26, 1986 ************************************************
