She was born April 4, 1923 in Eldon, Missouri to Chandos and Emma Blackburn Morris. She married Wayne M. Leach April 19, 1942. He preceded her in death February 14, 1998. She married Joseph E. She was a member of Willard St. United Methodist Church and Ottumwa Chapter #112 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and Bunco. Surviving are a son, Joseph (Sharon) Leach of Fairfield; a daughter, Christy (Dennis Johnstone) Crosser of Lyons, Colorado; a stepdaughter, JoAnne (Vern Slaymaker of Ottumwa; a stepson, David (Karen) Orman of Floris; two grandchildren, Michael Leach of Fairfield and Kimberly (Frank) Broz of San Francisco, California; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Att Morris of Mission, Texas; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Leach. Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home; the Rev. Charles Luers officiating. Memorials may be made to Willard St. United Methodist Church or Parkview Care Center Activity Fund. Published in the online Ottumwa Courier (Ottumwa, Iowa) on Friday, December 31, 2010.
