Mr. Jackson was born May 1, 1945, in Stokes County. He was employed by Venable Bros. Well Construction Inc. for 32 years. He was a member of Lawsonville Baptist Church in Danbury. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Jackson, and mother, Martha Tilley; his first wife, Doris Lee Jackson (Smith); his second wife, Mary E. Jackson (Vernon); two sons: Carl A. Jackson, and Jerry R. Jackson; a brother, Willie T. Richardson; sisters: Martha G. Wilson and Betty L. McKinney. He is survived by two brothers: Tommy Richardson (Lisa and Tony E. "Buster" Richardson (Carolyn); four daughters: Tonya J. McBryde (James), Sandy J. Smith (Kent), Mary A. Guy (Ralph), and Penny S. Rodriguez (Lalo); a son, Tommy Floyd (Melissa); daughter-in-law Terri M. Jackson; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Lawsonville Baptist Church, 1021 Wess Hall Road, Danbury, with visitation from 1-3 p.m., the service at 3 p.m., with the graveside burial following.
