Coleman, 82, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the Montana Home For The Aged at 804 North Broadway of complications incident to his advanced age. He had lived at the home since last December. He was born June 1st, 1858 in Indiana and for a number of years lived in Custer County, Nebraska. He came to the Huntley Project in 1912 and operated a blacksmith shop for a time at Pompey's Pillar and later at Ballantine. Mrs. Coleman died in 1930 and shortly after this time, Mr. Coleman retired and came to Billings where he lived with his son. He then lived with some of his other children in Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico and Iowa. He returned to Billings in December of 1939. He is survived by seven children - Otis Coleman of Billings, Mrs. Harry Robinson of Butte, Fred and Herschel Coleman of Alliance, Nebraska, Mrs. A.L. Weaver of Newcastle, Wyoming, Mrs. E.L. Kelly of New Virginia, Iowa, Roscoe Coleman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body is at Settergren's Mortuary.
