Description	:	Mr. Luther Tyndall, 91, of 180 Southwood Drive, Clinton, died Monday at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC. Mr. Tyndall, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late William Edward and Minnie Ann Cannady Tyndall, and the widower of Marie Thompson King Tyndall. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Smith. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. He served as a TEC 5 US Army during World War II. Read More	Mr. Luther Tyndall, 91, of 180 Southwood Drive, Clinton, died Monday at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC. Mr. Tyndall, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late William Edward and Minnie Ann Cannady Tyndall, and the widower of Marie Thompson King Tyndall. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #22, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Post #11, and a member of the V.F.W. Post #7547. He is survived by two sons, William R. Tyndall and wife Betty of Durham and Richard E. Tyndall and wife Marie of Clinton, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The family received friends 6-8 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the funeral home in Clinton. The funeral services were held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with with the Rev. E.C. Mattocks officiating. Burial was made in Grandview Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
