Description	:	Lyda Rouw, 93, of Sigourney, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Manor House Care Center. Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney with the Rev. Kate Stangl presiding. Burial will be at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. The family will be present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Lyda Sheffer Rouw was born Feb. 9, 1912, near New Sharon, the daughter of Abel and Josie Hite Sheffer. She married Gerald Rouw April 2, 1977. He died March 10, 1995. She attended school near New Sharon and received her diploma by correspondence. They lived and farmed in Mahaska County for many years. They moved to Martinsdale where she was secretary to the superintendent. They moved to Sigourney in the 1970s and was a Fuller Brush representative and helped serve senior citizen meals and Meals on Wheels. She was baptized Oct. 15, 1972 at the E and R Church in Sigourney. She was was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney, the Church Women United and Sigourney Garden Club. She is survived by a son, Rex Leanhart at Des Moines and a daughter, Donna Ogle of Sigourney, a son, Ted Leanhart of Milo, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and daughter Carole Holm.
