Description	:	Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from Farber and Otteman Funeral Home here for Mrs. Lydia Young, 85. She died Tuesday at Hayward Nursing Home, Emmetsburg. Rev. Dixon Stimpson will officiate at the last rites. Burial will be in the Wall Lake cemetery. Lydia A. Young was born Sept. 26, 1876 at Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary Mahler. Dixon Stimpson will officiate at the last rites. Burial will be in the Wall Lake cemetery. Lydia A. Young was born Sept. 26, 1876 at Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary Mahler. As a small child she came with her parents to Wall Lake where she lived until her marriage to Albert Young June 24, 1896. She had lived most of her life in Lake View with the exception of several years in Atkinson, Neb. She also spent one year at Churdan and since that time had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Dale Pooler at Emmetsburg. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Womans Relief Corps. Surviving are two daughters, Ruby (Mrs. Wm. Schluter of Churdan), and Verla (Mrs. Dale Pooler of Emmetsburg); three sons, Dale, Ray and Leslie all of Newton, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his husband who died Nov 16, 1960, her parents, two brother and one sister. The Lake View Resort - 11/16/1961
