Description	:	Lydia was the daughter of Union Pennell (1808) and Amanda S Garcy. She was married to John H. Boyce (d 1869) in 1859 and to them five children were born, four of whom died in infancy, John was the only one to live. She married Bryce Quint on 6 Apr. 1873 in Berrien county, Michigan. Boyce (d 1869) in 1859 and to them five children were born, four of whom died in infancy, John was the only one to live. She married Bryce Quint on 6 Apr. 1873 in Berrien county, Michigan. They moved to Carroll, Iowa in 1876. She married Josiah Willey on December 22, 1886. January 6, 1921 - Carroll times - Mrs. Josiah Wllley, nee Lydia Pennell, was born in New York January 24, 1842. Her parents were Union and Amanda Pennell with whom she moved to Berrien county, Michigan, when but a child. She was married to John H. Boyce in 1859 and to them five children were born, four of whom died in infancy. The surviving son, J.M. Boyce lives in Rolfe, Iowa. John H. Boyce passed away in 1860. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Bryce M. Quint and two years later they came to Carroll, Iowa. Mr. Quint died in 1882. On December 22, 1886, she was married to Josiah Willey. Since Mr. Willey's death she has made her home with her son, John M. Boyce, of Rolfe, Iowa. In addition to her son two grandchildren mourn her loss, C.E. Boyce, of Rolfe, Iowa, and Mrs. H.B. Foval, of Jewell Junction, Iowa. Another grandchild, Walter Boyce, died November 18, 1918, with pneumonia following the flu. Mrs. Willey died January 1, 1921. She had been a member of the Methodist church since childhood and the funeral was held in the Methodist church of this city Monday afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. Charles R. Bair. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were: John M. Boyce, Rolfe, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A.N. Willey, of Glidden; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Davis, of Glidden; Mrs. Mary Jockley, of Oskaloosa; Mr. MacIntrye of Rolfe; Mrs. Charlotte Bedford, and Malcom Stevens, of Glidden.
