Description	:	The Christian Messenger, Yankton, SD, Nov. 16, 1955, Vol. 13, #2 — Lydia Sayler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Masser, was born May 26, 1888 in Alexanderfeld, South Russia, and the day of her passing was August 20, 1955, having obtained the age of 67 years, two months, and 27 days. She received infant baptism and was confirmed in the old country. February 27, 1907 she joined hands in marriage with Friedrich Sayler, and they came to this country in 1911, living in the vicinity of Hebron, North Dakota, until they moved to the town in 1944. She received infant baptism and was confirmed in the old country. February 27, 1907 she joined hands in marriage with Friedrich Sayler, and they came to this country in 1911, living in the vicinity of Hebron, North Dakota, until they moved to the town in 1944. She gave her life to the Lord when she was only 24, and she was a faithful member of our Hebron Congregational Church. Of her seven children two preceded their mother in death. She suffered from a stroke in 1950 and had another one in 1955 which made her bed-fast, and a third stroke brought about her death. She is survived by her husband; three sons and two daughters; 10 grandchildren; three sisters and many friends. May the Good Shepherd comfort all who are bereaved. Hebron, North Dakota Wm. Lydia married Frederick SAILER on the 27th of February 1907 probably in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia. This union was blessed with 7 children. Lydia at the age of 23 with her husband Frederick, their son John and Frederick's parents immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "Kronprinzessin Cecilie" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 20th of June 1911.
