Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob (Lydia) Schmidt, 80, will be at 10:30 am Monday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Everett Meier officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of the Kotbra Funeral home. Lydia Ring was born June 24, 1890 at Odessa, Russia and died Dec. 3 at the local nursing home where she lived since 1966. On Nov. 20, 1910 she married Jacob Schmidt at Naper, Neb. She was a member of the Lutheran Church Women and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Martha) Ashcraft, Sioux City, and Mrs. Woodrow (Elsie) Sinkular....
