Frey, north of the village, on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Ewell officiating, assisted by Rev. A.K. Fox. Lydia Linn, whose maiden name was Lydia Wilson, was born April 24, 1807, near Meadeville, Pa. On July 24, 1824, she was married to Joseph Linn and resided for many years in Crawford county, Pa. Her husband's death occurring in 1851. She was left with the care of six children... On July 24, 1824, she was married to Joseph Linn and resided for many years in Crawford county, Pa. Her husband's death occurring in 1851. She was left with the care of six children (one son and five daughters) to manage the farm on which she lived. This she did successfully until the older children were married. She is survived by all her children, who reside as follows: Alexander, (1825-1908, married Sarah Margaret Herriott),Espyville, Pa.; Mrs. James Marvin (Mary Elizabeth Linn, 1828-1903), and Miss Margaret Linn (Margaret Zerelda, 1838-1912) Andover, Ohio; Mrs. Essington Gibson (Esther Julia, 1831-1924),Wordhoff, Cal.; Mrs. Oscar Lockwood (Lydia Euphemia Linn, 1843-1921), Burbank, Cal.; and Mrs. J.B. Frey (Hannah Annabel Linn, 1835-1907, married Benjamin Jacob Frey), Denmark, with the latter of whom the deceased has made her home for nearly thirty years. There are also living, twenty-one grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, James Wilson, of Willapa, Washington. Decease has been a member of the United Presbyterian church for many years. The committal was made in the Denmark cemetery." Note: Lydia Wilson Linn was the daughter of Benjamin Wilson and Annabel Gardner. Her husband, Joseph Linn was born in 1795 in New Jersey and died in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. Joseph Linn was the son of Alexander Linn and Hannah Armstrong. He may be buried in the Espyvile Cemetery, Espyville, Pennsylvania. Lydia Wilson's brother, James Wilson, mentioned in her obituary, married Julia V. Smith. James S. Wilson and Julia V. Smith Wilson are both buried in Fern Hill Cemetery, Willapa, Pacific County, Washington.
