He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and Ottawa Lodge 18 AF & AM the Shrine Club and Abdallah Shrine Temple of KC KS Surviving are his wife and sons Lyle and Donald three grandchildren and two brothers Charles and Vernon Waverly Gazette: Services for Lyle D. Hanes who died Feb 29, were at towner's Chapel Mar 4, Rev. Chester A. Hall and Rev. Lawrence Faivre officiated. Pallbearers were Roy Bones, Jay Brown, Robert Hill, Rex Christie, Chris Johnson and Virgil Wiggins. Hymns were sung by Mrs B.G. Otto, Mrs George Allman, Mrs Roy Bones and Mrs Dean Driscoll, accompanied by Mrs R.L. Stevens. Masonic Graveside service in Waverly Cemetery.
