Description	:	Lyle Kelley July 22,1943-July 7,2015 Lyle Kelley, 71, passed away at Regional West Medical Center on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. A Catholic service will be held July 13 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Read More	Lyle Kelley July 22,1943-July 7,2015 Lyle Kelley, 71, passed away at Regional West Medical Center on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Lyle was born on July 22, 1943 to Omer and Elsie (Warner) Kelley; who had just moved to town. He was raised in a small house in Gering and remembered a large garden that the family worked. He loved his little red wagon. He graduated from Gering High School in 1961 and was baptized into the Catholic Church. Lyle worked as a plumber for Jim Mowry, he drove a propane truck for K & K Appliance, he spent numerous years at Hiner Implement working for George Hiner until he opened Kelley’s Construction. In the summer of 1969, he and his soon to be bride began building the home where they would spend their years. On December 20, 1970, he married Delores “Sally” France. Together they had three children; Angie, Wade, and Julie. Next to his wife and family, he loved his little farm. From the years of raising cattle, horses and dogs, to fixing tractors, he hated nothing more than sitting still. He privately battled for most of his life with Diabetes and many additional medical conditions with his wife by his side the whole the time. Lyle's love touched everything from his wife and kids, his first son-in-law, who viewed him as a father, his dogs and cows, his woodworking, to the beautiful acreage that he was forever enhancing. His love and kindness spread to all who knew him. His family lovingly called him the “Candy Man”. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dora Lee McKoene.
