Lyle Wayne Harding was born March 27, 1942 in Whiting, Iowa the son of Alvin and Lorraine (Waugh) Harding. He attended Whiting School where he graduated high school in 1960. Lyle and Barb "Cookie" (Butters) met in school and they were married on September 8, 1961. Throughout their fifty-four years of marriage, they enjoyed taking their three children to rodeos and spending time with their grandkids. In 1970, Lyle started Harding Trucking with his dad, Alvin. They owned the business for twenty-two years before he went on to work at RPS with his son, Scott. In the last seven years he has worked as a greeter at Sams Club, which he dearly loved because he got to visit with people. He had to finally give that job up due to his health, and he fought the doctors to the end because he truly loved it! Lyle loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, ride horses, and spend time with his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Whiting, IA; children, Jackie (Bill) Huber of Albia, IA, Shelly Archer (Tony Larsen) and his children, Bryce, Jordyn, and Kylie of Dakota Dunes, SD, Scott (Paula) Harding of Whiting, IA; six grandchildren, Justin Huber, Cody (fiancé Shayla Barnes) Huber, Bailey Archer, Madison Archer, Makenna Harding, and Ty Harding; two sisters, Carol Ann (Jack) Seward of Marble Falls, TX and Dixie (Sonny) Kelsheimer of Neosha, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roberta Kelley, Norma (Vince) Rago, Jim (Paula) Butters, and Becky Butters; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lorraine Harding; mother and father-in-law, Frances and Bill Butters; and brother-in-law, Billy Butters. www.rushfamilycareservice.com
