Mrs. Callender, 69, of Glenmora entered eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Baton Rouge General Hospital. Ms. Lynda was the glue that held her family together. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Lucy Hoover and one brother, Frank Hoover, Jr. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of thirty-five years, Don Callender of McNary; one son, Chadwick Don Callender and his wife, Jackie of Glenmora; five daughters, Shawna Sonnier and her husband, Ronald of McNary, Kristina Hazelton and her husband, Jeremy of Glenmora, Donetta Fontenot and her husband, Ricky of Pine Prairie, Doniella JoLyn Clark and her husband, Dustin of McNary and Brooke Jessyca Abbott and her husband, Jason of McNary; two sisters, Pamela Sue German and her husband, Frank of Cape Coral, Florida and Sandra Lynn Gates and her husband, Gerald of Bastrop; twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve are Chaydon Callender, Dillion Hazelton, Justin Callender, Hunter Callender, Morgan Grantham and Seth Fullington. Honorary pallbearer is Zachori Fox. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Glenmora on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday, May 18, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
