Lynn Allen Goltz was born December 19, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Allen and Clarice (Knutson) Goltz. Lynn grew up in Leonard, ND and graduated from Leonard High School in the class of 1964 where he enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball where he was picked to the Cass Valley Conference All Star Team. Read More	Lynn Goltz, 72 of Leonard, ND, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Essentia Health in Fargo. Lynn Allen Goltz was born December 19, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Allen and Clarice (Knutson) Goltz. Lynn grew up in Leonard, ND and graduated from Leonard High School in the class of 1964 where he enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball where he was picked to the Cass Valley Conference All Star Team. He attended Wahpeton State School Science for diesel mechanics where he was also involved in Basketball. He grew up on the farm and enjoyed farming with his dad in the early years and his boys later in life. He married Tamara Johnson on June 14, 1969 at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo, ND. They made their home in West Fargo for a short time before moving to a farm in Leonard, ND where Lynn enjoyed driving truck for Morris Sand and Gravel, Taylor Cattle Company, Rustad’s Sand and Gravel, ET Trucking, and Lynn Goltz Trucking. He not only enjoyed trucking but loved relaxing on the road and seeing diﬀerent areas of the country. He received numerous trucking awards. He was credited with six million accident free miles. Lynn enjoyed music, dancing, hunting, and spending time with friends. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. Lynn is survived by his sons, Troy (Jodi) Goltz, Travis (Rita) Goltz; two grandchildren; sisters Cheryl Trangsrud, Charlene (Duane) Peterson and Sheila (Dave) Muhle, along with nieces, nephews and his special friend, Jeannie Anderson.
