He was born on Aug. 3, 1955, at the Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa, son of Orville and Rosemary (Kilburg) Roling. Lynn graduated from the Bellevue Community Schools in 1973. He farmed with his parents and later worked for Flynn Ready-Mix in Dubuque. He married Linda (Taber) Richardson on Aug. 18, 1984, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue. The couple lived in Bellevue until 1992 when they moved to Anamosa. They owned the Rainbow Supper Club for 2000 to 2009. Lynn recently had been employed by Wendler Construction in Amana and Innovative Ag service in Monticello. Surviving are wife, Linda; his mother, Rosemary Roling, of Bellevue; two children, Kim (John) Johnston, of Cedar Rapids, and Chad (special friend, Katie) Richardson, of Crowley, Texas; three grandchildren, Sean, Austin and Cole; three sisters, FayeAnn Roling, of Bellevue, Nancy (Terry) Kieffer, of Preston, and Mary Jo (special friend, Jeff Selzer) Roling-Dannar, of Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Travis and Dakota; and a niece, Amanda Rose Kieffer. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville, and a sister, Lavonne.
