Young, Lynn, their youngest child, after an illness of about two weeks. Saturday, January 23rd, he was taken ill quite suddenly which later was pronounced appendicitis by the attending physician. He suffered intense pain nearly all the time, but was very patient. Little Lynn was past 12 years of age, and was liked by all who knew him, being a very kind, good boy. He leaves a father, mother, sister, brothers, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The grief stricken family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Howard of Davis City, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Hamilton Cemetery Death record says Lyman Young, age 11y 9m 25d, d. Feb 6 1909. Obituary above says "past 12." The birth date of May 11 1896 posted on the grave stone would give his age as 12y 8m 25d. The posting for his father, Newton Young, says he was father of 3, mentioning Lynn who died. If Lyman was another child, dying the same day, he would surely be mentioned in the death record or in Lynn's obituary.
