Description	:	Lynn Marie Nelson was born on November 11, 1951 in Eureka. On April 30, 2011 she was taken home to be with Jesus. At four days old she was adopted by her loving parents Wes and MayBeth Nelson. She was very proud that she was adopted because she knew that she was a wanted child and always had a close relationship with her parents. Read More	Lynn Marie Nelson was born on November 11, 1951 in Eureka. On April 30, 2011 she was taken home to be with Jesus. At four days old she was adopted by her loving parents Wes and MayBeth Nelson. She was very proud that she was adopted because she knew that she was a wanted child and always had a close relationship with her parents. When she was young she went to Franklin School until the family moved to Bayside in 1963 and she continued at Jacoby Creek School then on to Arcata High School, graduating in 1969. From the age of 11 she was in high demand for babysitting as she was good with kids. There were times that she cared for as many as 5 kids. Lynn continued her education at College of the Redwoods and graduating as a bookkeeper. In 1971 she gave her heart to Jesus. In 1972 she joined Gospel Outreach Church where she continued to attend up to the time of her death. Her friends at GO were very special to her and she appreciated all the support and love they provided her. Lynn worked for her father at his business, Wes Nelson's Natl Auto Glass, as a bookkeeper from 1974 to 1979 when her father retired. She then worked for Everybody's Furniture Mart from 1979 to 1987 as a bookkeeper/sales until she was unable to medically. She was able to start work in 1988 as a bookkeeper at Gospel Outreach Church. She was known as the "Gum Lady" as she always had a piece of gum along with a hug for the kids who would come into her office. She was very proud of her three nieces Stephanie, Kari and Megan. If you walked by her desk she always had many pictures on display and was willing to brag about her nieces. Lynn loved spending time with her nieces. Although her brother Paul was 11 years younger, she always looked up to him and his wife Donna. She was very thankful for both of them and loved them dearly. Lynn is preceded by her parents Wes and MayBeth Nelson. She is survived by her brother Paul Nelson and wife Donna of Ferndale, and her nieces Stephanie Nelson (boyfriend Nick Titus) of Carlotta, Kari Nelson of Sacramento and Megan Nelson of Ferndale. She had too many family members and friends to list but they are not forgotten. Thank you goes out to all the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hosptial on her final days. Thank you also goes to her pastor Dave Sczepanksi and his wife Tracey for all their love and support through the years.0 Memorial Services will be on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2pm at Gospel Outreach Church. Dave Sczepanksi will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Outreach School 2845 St. James Place, Eureka, CA 95503.
