Description	:	Lynn Newth was born on Oct. 12, 1946 at Julesburg, Colo. He was the second of four children born to Burle and Erma Engel Newth. Lynn grew up on the family farm just southeast of Venango, Neb. and graduated from Venango High School in 1965. Lynn then attended college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated with a degree in engineering. Lynn was married to Adeline Jurgens on Aug. 30, 1969 in Filley, Neb. Read More	Lynn Newth was born on Oct. 12, 1946 at Julesburg, Colo. He was the second of four children born to Burle and Erma Engel Newth. Lynn grew up on the family farm just southeast of Venango, Neb. and graduated from Venango High School in 1965. Lynn then attended college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated with a degree in engineering. Lynn was married to Adeline Jurgens on Aug. 30, 1969 in Filley, Neb. Two children were born to this union which later ended in divorce. Lynn was hired by Gates Rubber Company in Denver as an engineer and they moved to Littleton, Colo. to make their home. Lynn eventually moved to Niwot, Colo. while still working for Gates until his retirement in 2003. Lynn died at his home on Thursday, April 3, 2014. He had reached the age of 67. After retirement, Lynn worked as a volunteer. He worked for Headstart, the Longmont Museum, and helped with the flood clean-up around Lyons. He enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and always liked going back to Venango to help with harvest. Lynn was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew, Robbie Newth. He is survived by his son, Jerry and wife Mary Sue Newth of Holdrege, Neb. and his daughter, Jolene and husband Doug Duncan of Lyons, Colo.; seven grandchildren-Christian, Cassidy, Carter, Chloe and Cora Newth and Kyle and Logan Duncan; his father, Burle Newth of Grant, Neb.; two brothers, Gary and wife Linda of Venango and Kevin and wife Diane of Sabetha, Kan.; his sister-Connie and husband Mark Berger of Loveland, Colo.; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held April 8, 2014 at the Venango Community Church with Pastor Chris Costrini officiating. Burial was in the Venango Cemetery. Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
