He was born on Feb. 10, 1924, to the late Sina Strole Keyser and Harry Alexander Keyser. Read More	Lynn Randolph Keyser, Sr., of 4 Elm Tree Lane, Luray, passed away on Oct. 10, 2014, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living Home. He was born on Feb. 10, 1924, to the late Sina Strole Keyser and Harry Alexander Keyser. Lynn graduated from Stanley High School, after which he was engaged in the family farming of cattle, sheep, chickens, corn, and soybeans. In 1960, the Luray Junior Chamber of Commerce announced his selection as the Outstanding Young Farmer of Page County. He was a member of the Virginia Agriculture Leader’s People to People, Goodwill Delegation visiting Europe and the Soviet Union in 1962. This delegation of Virginians active in agriculture spent 21 days viewing agricultural operations in Russia. He was rural mail carrier in Stanley for about 20 years, a past president of the Page County Agricultural and Industrial Fair Association, a former director of the Sovran Bank of Shenandoah and a member of the Grove Hill Newport Ruritan Club, having served as past president and a Ruritan Zone Governor. He was a longtime member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, where he served as trustee. For many years he and his family operated the Dam Acres Campground. Living on the river, he enjoyed fishing, water skiing and ice skating. Lynn was first married to Betty Hoover Keyser, who preceded him in death in 1977. He and his first wife had two sons, Lynn R. (Randy) Keyser II and Stephen Hoover Keyser, both of whom are deceased. In 1979 Lynn married Nancy Shuler Keyser, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Janet Goode, and brother-in-law, Grover, a grandson, Trey Keyser, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Keyser. Three brothers, George, Julian and Henry, preceded him in death. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Briehl and Pastor Phyllis Diamond on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Alma. Burial will follow in the St. Luke’s cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
