Description	:	Lynn William Wurdeman July 21,1947-September 13,2015 Lynn William Wurdeman, 68 of Mitchell, passed away at his home September 13, 2015. A funeral service will be held Sept 18th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Morrill. Interment will follow at Mitchell City Cemetery. Lynn was born July 21, 1947 in Columbus, NE, to Edward and Birdella (Ahrens) Wurdeman. He attended Christ Lutheran School and then graduated from Columbus High in 1965. Lynn was born July 21, 1947 in Columbus, NE, to Edward and Birdella (Ahrens) Wurdeman. He attended Christ Lutheran School and then graduated from Columbus High in 1965. He joined the Air National Guard after graduation. Lynn married Mary Buresh, and to this union one daughter, born. He moved to Mitchell in 1972 and farmed north of town until 1985. He then began his career at Great Western Sugar, from which he retired as an Ag Manager in January of 2014. He married Susan Brunz in 1997. He was a previous member and Chief of the Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department from which he retired in 2004 after 23 years of voluntary service. He was an active member of the Mitchell American Legion Post #124, serving as Adjutant for 15 years and current Commander. He truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, with a boisterous laugh that was unforgettable. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards and golf, and recently took up camping with friends. He always had a dog as his companion and was rarely seen without him/her “going along for the ride”.Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Judy Panska Wurdeman
