Description	:	Lynn W. Greiman, 59, of Mason City and formerly of Garner and Clear Lake, died early on Thursday morning, May 10, 2007, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12, at the Fullerton Funeral Home, Mason City, with the Rev. Edward Bard officiating. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery, Garner. Greiman, 59, of Mason City and formerly of Garner and Clear Lake, died early on Thursday morning, May 10, 2007, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12, at the Fullerton Funeral Home, Mason City, with the Rev. Edward Bard officiating. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery, Garner. Lynn Wilson Greiman, was born on November 22, 1947 in Waterloo, the son of Florence Irene (Baker) and Wilson Benjamin Greiman. In 1951, he and his family moved from Waterloo to Garner, where he attended school. In 1959, at the age of 12, Lynn won a trophy, a trip to Chicago and the bragging rights as the "Champion of Sales" in a contest for the Globe Gazette carriers. He graduated in 1966 from the Garner High School. Lynn furthered his education, attending NIACC for one year and Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids for two years, attaining an Associate of Implied Science Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree in May of 1982. He was employed at Alexander Manufacturing in Mason City as a project designer. Due to complications of multiple sclerosis, Lynn was no longer able to work. His main "connection to the world" became his computer, on which he was extremely proficient. Some of Lynn's interests included writing poetry, engaging in philosophical discussions, assisting various band groups with sound system set-ups and listening to music. He was a "Star Trek" fan and found great accomplishment and pride in designing and building a variety of technical projects, including a robot. Lynn's family describe him as a very intelligent man who made friends easily! He deeply cared for his sisters and their families and openly professed his devotion to his faith and the care and concern his sisters gave him. Lynn was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ma-son City. Left to cherish Lynn's life are his two sisters, Marjorie and Richard Koolbeck of Cedar Rapids and Shirley and Roland Pals of Duncanville, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends will also dearly miss him. Preceding Lynn in death are his parents, Wilson and Florence Greiman; and his brother, Jerald Greiman. ©The Garner Leader & Signal 2007
