Read More	=================================== Kingman Star Kingman, Indiana Mrs. Lynna McMasters Dowden, 74, widely known resident of this area, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday at the residence three miles west of here on Ind. 234 where she was born and spent her entire life. Mrs. Dowden was a collector of obituaries, and had several volumes containing more than 3000 of them. They date back more than 50 years. The obituaries have become a valuable source of information for historians and for persons seeking information about their ancestors. She was also widely known for her weaving and quilting, with some of her handicraft being considered masterpieces of handicraft. She had been the East Liberty correspondent for the Kingman Star for the past 20 years. Born Nov. 20, 1887, she was the daughter of Rufus and Margaret Millikin McMasters. She was married in 1907 to Grover C. Dowden, who died Dec. 13, 1960. The survivors include a daughter, Margaret C. Bond of Kingman; two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Kingman Christian Church, with Rev. Donald G. Gee in charge. Burial was in the Tangier Cemetery with the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home in charge. ===================================
