Born in Blockhouse, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Elva (Meisner) Joudrey. In earlier days, Lynwood worked for Canadian National Railway and then with Industrial Shipping, Mahone Bay. Later he worked at Nova Scotia Building Supplies in Blockhouse until his retirement. Lynwood enjoyed country and bluegrass music, fishing and playing the guitar. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay and a member of the Blockhouse Fire Department, where he had been active for fifteen years, later becoming an Honorary Member. He is survived by his wife, Mona (Aulenback); daughter, Rhonda Joudrey, Dartmouth; son, Errol (Patricia) Joudrey, Blockhouse; grandchildren, Tania, John, Chris, Colleen, Reena; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Ben, Jack, Nathan; sister, Sandra Whynacht, Ont.; brothers, Keith (Louette) Joudrey, Pleasantville; Merlyn (Lucille) Joudrey, Ont.. He was predeceased by brother, Karl Joudrey. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Stephen Kristenson officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Garden of Rest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay.
